Explosion occurs at Nepali main opposition party's office

A pressure cooker bomb has exploded at the office of Nepali main opposition Unified Communist Party of Nepal (Maoist) in Banke district in mid-western Nepal Sunday morning.

Nobody was injured as the office was empty at the time of the explosion. The explosion occurred earlier Sunday morning, police said.

Terai Mukti Morcha-Jwala Singh group has claimed responsibility for the explosion, according to nepalnews.com report.

Bhagat Singh, the Banke in charge of the group, called local journalists to claim the responsibility.

Windowpanes of the office building and the door have been broken by the explosion.
