Roadside bomb kills 5 NATO soldiers in Afghanistan

Five soldiers of the NATO-led International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) were killed in roadside bomb in Kandahar south of Afghanistan on Wednesday, Governor House said Thursday.

"A roadside bomb struck a vehicle of international troops in Pashmol village of Jalai district on Wednesday afternoon as a result five soldiers were killed,"press department of Governor House in Kandahar city the capital of Kandahar province told newsmen.

However, it did not give more details.

In Kandahar, mostly Canadian and U.S. troops are stationed to help strengthen security there.

More than 130 NATO-led soldiers with majority of whom Americans have been killed in conflict-ridden Afghanistan since January this year.
