NATO chopper makes emergency landing in N Afghanistan

A helicopter of NATO- led troops made an emergency landing in Dasht-e-Archi district of Kunduz province north of Afghanistan on Wednesday, governor of the district Shikh Sadudin said.
"The helicopter of international troops developed technical problems and made emergency landing in Qajir Khana village around 03:00 p.m. local time causing no loss of life," Sadudin told Xinhua.
Meanwhile, a spokesman of the civilian-military unit - German Provincial Reconstruction Team (PRT) in Kunduz province who introduced himself only Webber told Xinhua that a civilian helicopter model MI-8 with two German and few American nationals aboard faced the problem and made emergency landing.
There were no casualties, he said.
A Taliban purported spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid in talks with media via cellular phone from an undisclosed location claimed responsibility, saying the militants gunned the chopper down.
This is the second chopper incident over the past two days. In the previous incident, a NATO-led forces helicopter crashed in the central Wardak province on Tuesday, killing one aboard and injuring three others.
