Two servicemembers with the NATO- led International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) were killed in separate IED (improvised explosive device) attacks in southern Afghanistan Monday.

A press release issued by the ISAF confirmed the casualties but failed to provide any further detail.

It is ISAF's current policy to defer identification procedures for casualties to the relevant national authorities.
