1 killed, 4 injured in blast in SW Pakistan

At least one person was killed and four others injured in a bomb blast in Pakistani southern city of Quetta on Monday, local media reported.

The bomb was planted in a bicycle on a road side in Quetta, the capital of Balochistan, and the security personnel were the target, police sources said.

Police arrived at the scene and cordoned off the area. Bomb Disposal Squad has been called to reach the spot.

The injured have been taken to nearby hospital where two of them were in critical conditions.

Earlier, local TV reports said that least 4 were killed in the bomb explosion.

Meanwhile unknown gunmen shot dead a principal of a private boy ' s school in the city, police said.

During the last a few days, 18 people have been killed, including three security personnel, in target killing and bomb blasts in Quetta and other parts of Balochistan.
