Top DPRK leader inspects cooperative farm in Sariwon City

Kim Jong Il, top leader of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) inspected the Migok Cooperative Farm in Sariwon City in southern DPRK, the official news agency KCNA reported on Saturday.
Kim said it is important that the agricultural front is the major front in the struggle to improve the people's standard of living. He called upon the whole country and all of the people to continue focusing all of their efforts on farming in order to bring about a decisive turn in agricultural production.
He stressed that the present trend of agricultural development is to do organic farming without using chemical fertilizers and pesticides, adding that it is necessary to actively apply organic and other new farming methods and farming technologies.
The report didn't give the specific date of the inspection.
