Blast kills four in NW Pakistan

At least four people were killed and five others wounded in a blast in northwest Pakistan on Thursday, police sources said.

The killed include two security personnel, police said. The remote-controlled bomb blast occurred near a security check post on the entry point to Peshawar, the capital of North West Frontier Province.

The blast also hit a CD shop near the Barra Qadeem checkpost.

There are also reports that the bomb blast targeted a security vehicle patrolling the area.

The injured were rushed to Lady Reading Hospital Peshawar, while the blast site was cordoned off by the security forces.
