Indonesian police shot dead an allegedly Bali bombing terrorist named Dulmatin in a raid at Pamulang of Banten province, Liputan reported on Tuesday.

However, police has yet confirmed the report.

The police's anti-terror special squad Densus 88 also arrested a man and a woman in a shop that also functions as home.

Police have been chasing Dulmatin for long as he was allegedly involved in the Bali bombing in 2002. He was also chased by Philippine police.

Dulmatin had a number of names like Amar Usmanan, Joko Pitoyo, Joko Pitono, Abdul Matin, Pitono, Muktarmar, Djoko and Noval.

He was born in Petarukan Village of Pemalang Regency in Central Java province on June 6, 1970.
