Moderate quake hit western Indonesia

An earthquake measuring 5.2 on the Richter scale hit North Sumatra province of western Indonesia at 7: 13 p.m. (1213 GMT) on Sunday, the Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency said.

The epicenter was at 9 kilometers of northwestern of province' s Tarutung City at a depth of 10 kilometers under seabed.

The agency did not issue tsunami warning.

No casualties has been reported so far.
