The anti-government United Front for Democracy against Dictatorship (UDD) plans to hold a major rally in mid-March, the UDD group announced Wednesday.

The anti-government movement by the UDD or red-shirted people will start from March 12, Thai News Agency reported.

The red-shirted supporters from the countryside will begin from March 12 to travel to Thailand's capital Bangkok.

And, in the morning of the 10th of March the UDD protesters will stage their massive rally at Sanam Luang, the open field and public square in the center of Bangkok.

Their political demand includes resignation of the coalition government or the House dissolution paving the way for a new general election.
