Moderate quake hits eastern Indonesia

An earthquake measuring 5.0 on the Richter scale hit Maluku archipelago in east Indonesia on Monday at 09:38 p.m. Jakarta time (1438 GMT), the Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics said in a statement.

The quake's epicenter was at 205 kilometers of northwest of Maluku province's Saumlaku at depth of 108 kilometers under seabed.

The agency did not release a tsunami warning.
