DPRK holds concert to celebrate lunar New Year

The Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) held a concert to celebrate the lunar New Year, the official news agency KCNA reported on Monday.

Kim Jong Il, the top leader of the DPRK, said at the concert that it was important for the DPRK people to have performed "eye-opening miracles" at the beginning of the lunar new year.

Kim expressed his expectation and belief that the DPRK people would bring about once again great innovations and a big leap forward in all sectors.

He named 2010 as "a year of great victory" in the history of the country.
