A special envoy of UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon said on Friday that he is very satisfied with the talks with the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) during his four-day trip to the country.

Upon his leaving, Lynn Pascoe, under-secretary-general of the United Nations for political affairs, told Xinhua at the airport that he is "very satisfied with" the talks held with DPRK officials, including Kim Yong Nam, president of the Presidium of the Supreme People's Assembly.

Pascoe is the first high-level UN official to visit the country since 2004.
