Explosion wounds 5 Afghan police

Five Afghan police personnel were injured as a blast rocked Ghazni city, capital of Ghazni province in southern Afghanistan, on Wednesday.

"The blast occurred in the fourth precinct of the city this morning wounding five police constables," senior police officer Abdul Rahman said.

The officer failed to provide more detail.

Locals said that one of the injured police personnel succumbed to his injuries later.

The Taliban has so far made no comment.
