Three killed, two injured in explosion at S. Korea's chemical plant

Three people were killed and two others injured Friday in an explosion at a chemical factory in Yongin, South Korea's Yonhap News Agency reported, quoting local police.

According to the media, the explosion, caused by a fire at the plant, occurred around local time 03:12 p.m. (0412 GMT).

A 64-year-old man, a 61-year-old man, and a 63-year-old woman were killed, while a 62-year-old and a 47-year-old man were injured with burns, the media said.

The injured were taken to nearby hospitals for treatment.

Investigators said they are looking into the exact cause of the explosion, according to the media.
