The Thai government has no plan to reshuffle the cabinet for now, Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva announced Monday.

Currently, it is not the right time for the cabinet reshuffle as the country needs to have political stability, Thai News Agency quoted Abhisit as saying.

Earlier, Satit Wongnongteoy, Minister in the Prime Minister's Office, also denied news reports that the prime minister planned the cabinet reshuffle after Dec. 15.

According the news reports, coalition parties -- the Chart Thai Pattana Party and Pheu Pandin Party -- had pressured the prime minister to reshuffle the cabinet.

In a related development, Chart Thai Pattana Party spokesman Watchara Kannikar, denied the news reports.
