Pakistan is committed to fighting terrorism, Pakistan Senate Chairman Farooq Naek said during a press conference in Beijing on Wednesday.
"Terrorism is affecting the peace and stability of not only Pakistan, but the entire world." Naek told the press conference.
"Terrorism is a menace which is eating up our society. Pakistan is the biggest victim of terrorism," he said.
The world should work together to bring an end to terrorism, extremism and separatism, Naek said whilst stressing that Pakistan itself was resolutely opposed to terrorism in any form.
Naek's trip to China was at the invitation of Jia Qinglin, chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference. Beijing was the second leg, after Shanghai, of Naek's eight-day visit.
