The Indian police in the resort city Goa are on the lookout for two waiters in connection with the death of a Russian girl, whose mutilated body was found on a rail track on Saturday, police said on Monday.
Police said the girl, Elena Sukhanova, 24, befriended the two waiters before her death.
One of the waiters, Winnie, was from the northern Indian state of Himachal Pradesh, while the other worked at the Sun City Hotel at the beach of Goa.
"The deceased was supposed to leave for her country, but had extended her holiday (after knowing the two men)," a police officer said.
The Russian Embassy in New Delhi, which has taken cognizance of the mysterious death, said they were waiting for the postmortem report. Source: Xinhua
