At least five tribesmen were killed in an ambush by militants in northwestern Pakistan on Thursday.

Manji Khel tribe had formed a tribal lashkar to go after the militants who kidnapped three tribesmen from Mianji Khel area, some 25 km from Hangu, according to official Associated Press of Pakistan.

The lashkar was ambushed when it reached near Torawari area. Militants fired rockets and sprayed gunfire on tribesmen, killing five of them and injuring seven others.
