The south Pacific island nation of Vanuatu has re-entered negotiations for its accession into the World Trade Organization (WTO), Radio Vanuatu reported on Thursday.
As part of this process, the country's Ministry of Trade is mounting a consultation process to broaden the knowledge of government, private and members of the public on the advantages and benefits of joining WTO.
Vanuatu's Ambassador to Brussels, Roy Mickey Joy is the appointed Chief Negotiator while the Minister for Trade is the designated leader in the negotiations.
Vanuatu is currently holding observer status at the WTO. It is also working closely with Australia and New Zealand in its lead-up to accession into WTO.
