A magnitude 5 quake rocked Batanes in the northernmost Philippines early Sunday morning, without causing damage or casualties, said the local TV network GMA News.
The report quoted the United States Geological Service as saying the quake was recorded at 05:45 a.m. local time (2145 GMT Saturday) and traced the epicenter to 115 kilometers northwest of Basco in Batanes, or 715 kilometers north of Manila.
