At least one person was killed and three others injured in a bomb blast in northwestern Pakistan on Wednesday, local TV channel DAWN NEWS reported.

An independent election candidate Mufti Hussain also suffered injuries in the blast when an election rally was held in Charbagh of Swat district in North West Frontier Province.

No group has claimed responsibility for the blast.

Former Pakistani prime minister and chairperson of People's Party Benazir Bhutto was killed in gunshots and suicide bombing attacks on Dec. 27 after addressing an election rally in Rawalpindi.

Some other election gatherings and rallies held by some political leaders were also hit by bomb blast attacks since Bhutto's death.
