Two pilots were killed and one mechanic was still missing in a plane crash at East Kalimantan province of Indonesia on Saturday, local media reported.

The CASSA 212 plane owned by Dirgantara Air Service was scheduled to fly to Long Apung airport at Malinau regency from Tarakan regency, East Kalimantan, reported by leading news website Detik.

But at the last part of this one hour journey, the plane lost contact with the ground control. Some hours later, the debris were found by local citizens in woods about eight kilometers away from Long Apung airport.

The pilot and co-pilot were found dead by research and rescue team of the local government, but a mechanic, the third one on the plane, was still missing. Research and rescue operation is going on at the crash site.

The weather was good when the crash happened, Detik reported.
