Partial results show Noynoy Aquino leads race in Philippine presidential election

Initial official results show that Benigno Simeon "Noynoy" Aquino III is leading the race in the Philippine presidential election, the country's Commission on Elections said Monday.
The votes tallied represent 38 percent of votes cast during national elections Monday.
According to votes tallied as of 9:45 p.m., Aquino got 5.8 million votes of total votes cast, Comelec Chairman Jose Melo said in a press briefing.
Joseph Estrada and Manny Villar were in second and third place, respectively, according to partial Comelec results.
There are about 50 million registered voters. Melo said there's a 75 percent turnout in Monday's elections.
