Thailand is ready to host the 41st ASEAN Economic Ministers' Meeting, slated for Aug.12-16, Commerce Minister Porntiva Nakasai told reporters on Wednesday.

A combined police and navy force will be deployed to ensure law and order during the meeting and related meetings, Thai language news agency Thai Rath Online quoted Porntiva as saying.

Apart from the ministers' meeting, Thailand will also host the A&M plus three meeting (China, Japan and South Korea), and plus six meeting (China, Japan, South Korea, Australia, New Zealand, and India).

The meetings will focus on economic integration both in the ASEAN region and with the trade and economic partners -- China, Japan, South Korea, Australia, New Zealand, and India.
