The Pakistan People's Party Chairperson Benazir Bhutto arrived in the capital Islamabad Friday to convene an important party meeting over issues concerning the upcoming general elections, local TV channels reported.
Bhutto is presiding over a central committee meeting to chalk out a strategy for the general elections on Friday, the DAWN NEWS TV channel reported.
The PPP has allowed its candidates to file their nomination papers in their respective constituencies for the elections of national and provincial assemblies.
The general elections, according to a schedule unveiled by the Election Commission of Pakistan, are scheduled to be held on Jan. 8, 2008. Source:Xinhua
