Mongolian Minister of Construction and City Planning Janlaviin Narantsatsralt died in a car accident Monday night in Tov province, central Mongolia, the caretaker government's press office said Tuesday.

Narantsatsralt died when the car he was riding in turned over. One member of his entourage was also killed and another injured.

The accident has been now under investigation, police said.

Narantsatsralt had served as Mongolian prime minister from 1998 to 1999.
