Israeli army troops shot two Palestinians with apparent intention to plant an explosive device near the security fence late Friday, said an army spokesman.
The shooting incident took place when the two Palestinians were crawling in central Gaza Strip in the direction of the security fence "with the apparent intention of placing an explosive charge", said the spokesman.
An Israeli unit opened fire and hit the two Palestinians, added the spokesman, without giving details about whether the two were killed or wounded.
