Nicaragua's Naval Force on Sunday arrested four foreigners who were transporting illicit drugs, said Nicaragua's Army.

The army arrested two Colombians and two Hondurans who were on a motor boat in the Caribbean Sea, said Alvaro Ibarra, a spokesman for the army.

The army found 1,375 packages of drugs onboard, Ibarra said, noting that the type and quality of the drugs are still under examination.

"These drugs were coming from Colombia" with the United States as the destination, Ibarra said.
