The Israeli army detained 15 Palestinians and found an arms storehouse in the West Bank amid intensified military operations, Palestinian security sources said on Tuesday.
The sources said an Israeli army unit stormed the village of Kofor Dan, west of the northern West Bank city of Jenin, during which three Jihad (holy war) militants were detained and one of them was injured.
Another 11 Palestinians were detained in two other towns of Ramallah and Nablus. The Israeli army has confirmed the arrest, saying the Palestinians were holding knives and hunting rifles when being arrested.
In addition, the Israeli army also said its troops arrested the other one Palestinian in the village of Silwad northeast of Ramallah after discovering a store of weapons, including rifles, ammunition, handmade weapons and explosives.
Separately in the Gaza Strip, the Israeli army arrested five Palestinians near the evacuated settlement of Dogit in northern Gaza Strip, said Palestinian sources.
