Uruguay and Argentina will begin another round of talks on Monday in efforts to tackle their differences over Uruguay's construction of a paper plant along their border, local media reported on Sunday.
The talks, promoted by Spain, will be held in Spain's Permanent Mission at the United Nations headquarters in New York.
Uruguay and Argentina have been engaged in a dispute over the paper mill being built for Uruguay by a Finnish company on the Uruguay River, which is shared by both nations.
Argentina claims that the plant will cause lasting environmental damage, but Uruguay says that any contamination from the plant will be within international norms.
In April, Uruguayan and Argentine high-level delegations began the first round of direct talks in the Spanish capital Madrid, establishing a framework for future talks.
