The terror threat to Western nations and the United States were at the center of talks here on Friday between Italian Junior Interior Minister Marco Minniti and visiting White House Homeland Security advisor Frances Townsend.

A statement from the Italian Interior Ministry said that both Minniti and Townsend expressed their satisfaction over the level of cooperation and information sharing between Rome and Washington and examined the possible ways to expand this collaboration.

Minniti and Townsend last met in Washington last year.
