Palestinian militants in the Gaza Strip fired 11 mortar shells toward Israel's western Negev area on Tuesday, but causing no casualties, local daily Yedioth Ahronoth reported.

According to the report, the Palestinian gunmen fired three barrages from northern Gaza with one hitting at Kerem Shalom crossing on Israel-Gaza border and others landing on western Negev communities.

Two structures near Kerem Shalom were damaged in the attacks, but no one was hurt, said the report.

Last Sunday, Palestinians in Gaza fired five Qassam rockets toward the western Negev. Four of the rockets landed in open fields, and the fifth landed close to Sapir Academic College near town of Sderot, damaging a campus building but causing no injuries.
