A large gold mine has been found in the northwest of Qinghai province, with a long-term reserve expected to exceed 300 tons, according to Qinghai Land and Resources Department. It will become China's major gold mine development base.

After many years of exploration, the gold mine is proven to have a main ore zone as long as 4,200 meters.

The gold mine is located in Yushu Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture in Qinghai province.

This is another major discovery following the successful drilling of the "combustible ice" in this province.
