Trademark registration in China amounted to 708,000 cases in 2007, and ranks first in the world for 6 consecutive years, according to information from the 12th East-West China Cooperation & Investment Trade Fair.
China's applications for Madrid international trademark registration to the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) rank eighth in the world for 4 consecutive years. In addition, 1,234 of China's applications were well-known trademarks.
