Chinese shares declined 0.8 percent on Thursday, with blue chips going down after strong rebound in previous trading day.
The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index, which covers both A and B shares, edged down 34.54 points to 4,299.51.
The Shenzhen Component Index lost 97.95 points, or 0.62 percent, to 15,654.46.
Combined turnover further decreased to 117.05 billion yuan from 123.84 billion yuan on Wednesday.
