Chinese share prices Thursday continued the downward adjustment from the previous day, as concerns lingered about increasing pressure on liquidity from large secondary offerings by Pudong Development Bank.
The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index concluded Thursday's trading at 4,527.18, down 39.85 points, or 0.87 percent, from the previous close of4,567.03.
The Shenzhen Component Index for the smaller Shenzhen bourse lost 154.94 points, or 0.91 percent, to close at 16,804.26 points.
The combined turnover on the two exchanges decreased to 153.07 billion yuan (21.4 billion U.S. dollars) on Thursday from the 176.66 billion yuan on the previous day. Source:Xinhua
