Chinese president returns to Beijing after Eurasia tour

Chinese President Hu Jintao came back to Beijing Tuesday morning after state visits to Kazakhstan, Russia and Ukraine.

During the visit, Hu also attended the annual summit of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) in the Kazakh capital of Astana and the 15th International Economic Forum in St. Petersburg.

The Astana summit marks the 10th anniversary of founding of the SCO,which was established in Shanghai in 2001.

The regional organization groups China, Russia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan.

At the two-day summit, Hu and leaders of SCO members celebrated the 10th birthday of the organization and formulated its missions for the next decade.
