China, Ukraine clinch cooperation deals

China and Ukraine on Monday signed a series of bilateral cooperation agreements.

The documents cover cooperation in such fields as agriculture, energy, science and technology and innovation.

Chinese State Councilor Dai Bingguo and Ukrainian First Deputy Prime Minister Andrey Klyuyev attended the signing ceremony of the documents.

Dai was accompanying Chinese President Hu Jintao on his visit to Ukraine.

Hu started a three-day state visit to Ukraine on Saturday. He is the first Chinese head of state to visit Ukraine in the past decade.
