Senior Chinese legislator meets Indian Bihar chief minister

Senior Chinese legislator Yan Junqi met with Chief Minister of Bihar of India Nitish Kumar here on Saturday.

Yan, vice chairwoman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, China's top legislative body, said the two countries's cooperation is in the interest of the two peoples.

Strengthening cooperation between China and India contributes to the development of Asia and the world, she said.

Kumar said India and China, with a long history of cultural exchanges and great potential for economic cooperation, should make further efforts in this regard.

Kumar is invited by the International Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China.
