According to Guangxi International Expo Affairs Bureau, the approval of the Feasibility Study Report on Pan-Beibu Gulf Economic Cooperation signifies that substantive progress has been made in promoting regional economic cooperation.

The report concludes that the Pan-Beibu Gulf economic cooperation is feasible. The cooperation scheme will help to strengthen strategic partnership between China and ASEAN, boost and deepen bilateral economic and trade cooperation, promote and improve sub-regional economic cooperation and speed up the economic integration and construction of China-ASEAN Free Trade Zone.
