Iranian Culture and Islamic Guidance Minister Seyyed Mohammad Hosseini said the expansion of cultural ties between Iran and China could play an effective role in the introduction of both countries' rich cultures, the state-owned IRNA news agency reported Thursday.
Hosseini made the remarks Wednesday on the sidelines of a meeting with a Chinese delegation at the International Tehran Book Fair.
"Broadening the level of cultural cooperation and interactions between the two countries plays a very effective role in the introduction of the two nations' rich cultures to each other," Hosseini told IRNA.
The 24th International Tehran Book Fair, hosting about 4,000 Iranian and foreign publishers this year, was opened on May 4 in the compound of Imam Khomeini Mosalla (grand mosque) in northern Tehran and will run for 10 days.
