Senior Chinese PLA official visits Nepal

"We are paying this visit for the purpose of further enhancing mutual understanding, promoting friendship, strengthening cooperation and propelling the China- Nepal Comprehensive Partnership of Cooperation featuring ever- lasting friendship to move ahead constantly," Chen Bingde, Chief of General Staff of the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA) said in Kathmandu Wednesday.
Chen Bingde made the remarks upon his arrival at the Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu .
"I am looking forward to exchanging in-depth views with leaders of the Nepalese government and its military on the relations between the two countries and two militaries and other issues of common interest," Chen Bingde said.
"I am confident that with the thoughtful arrangement of our host, this visit will achieve its purpose and make a complete success. May Nepal enjoy social progress, economic prosperity and its people well being. May Nepal and its military achieve greater success ," Chen Bingde added.
Chen Bingde is on a three-day official visit to Nepal at the invitation of General Chhatra Man Singh Gurung, Chief of Army Staff for the Nepalese Army.
