Senior PLA official starts visit to Nepal

Chen Bingde, Chief of General Staff of the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA), set out on Wednesday for an official visit to Nepal.

During the visit, Chen will meet and exchange ideas with leaders of the Nepalese government and army regarding the two countries' military relations, including deepening cooperation and ensuring frontier peace, as well as other issues of common concern.

The visit was made at the invitation of General Chhatra Man Singh Gurung, Chief of Army Staff for the Nepalese Army.
