French president to attend international monetary seminar in China: FM

French President Nicolas Sarkozy will attend a seminar in China about the reform of the international monetary system, a foreign ministry spokesperson said Tuesday.

Chinese leaders will meet with Sarkozy during his stay in China, Jiang Yu said at a regular news briefing.

The seminar, which will be held on March 31 in Nanjing, capital of eastern China's Jiangsu province, is unofficial and academic, Jiang said.
