Chinese Vice Foreign Minister Zhai Jun on Wednesday arrived in Baghdad for an official visit, the first visit for Chinese high-level officials to the country since the U.S.-led invasion in 2003.

The vice foreign minister, who led a high-level delegation, is expected to discuss with Iraqi Foreign Minister Hoshyar Zebari bilateral relations and means of cooperation between the two countries.

He will also meet with Iraqi President Jalal Talabani and Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki.
