Philippine vice president visits China

Chinese State Councilor Dai Bingguo met with Jejomar Binay, vice president of the Philippines, during the latter's China visit on Friday, a press release from the Chinese Foreign Ministry said.

Wang Shengjun, president of China's Supreme People's Court, and Chinese Vice Foreign Minister Zhang Zhijun also met with Binay the same day.

During the meetings, the Chinese officials talked about stronger Sino-Philippine relations, deeper judicial cooperation, and joint efforts to fight trans-border drug-related crimes, according to the press release.
