220 stranded Chinese travellers leave Cairo aboard Hainan Airlines plane

A Hainan Airlines plane with 220 stranded Chinese travellers aboard took off from Cairo, the Egyptian capital, at 8:23 a.m. Tuesday.

The plane will arrive in Guangzhou, capital of Guangdong Province, at 6:50 p.m. Tuesday, Hainan Airlines announced in its microblog.

The plane was the second one sent Monday noon to Cairo to bring stranded Chinese travelers home, after the first one sent by Air China Monday noon.

Air China then sent another two planes to Cairo. They took off at 2:30 a.m. and 3:00 a.m. Tuesday from Beijing.
