Senior CPC official leaves Beijing for visit to India

Zhou Yongkang, a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, left Beijing Sunday for a goodwill visit to the Republic of India.

During his visit, Zhou, also secretary of the CPC Central Commission for Political and Legal Affairs, will attend the second seminar on China-India relations.

Zhou is paying the visit at the invitation of the Indian government.
