Prachanda is scheduled to participate in an interaction and attend Shanghai Expo during his stay.
He is also scheduled to meet Chinese high officials there, Maoist Foreign Affairs Department Chief Krishna Bahadur Mahara said.
"This is not a political visit, however, the Maoist Chairman will be meeting Chinese officials in Shanghai Expo," Mahara said.
